Some of us have long wished for more time at home to get round to doing all the odd jobs we can't find time for in our busy lives. The fact is now we have the time imposed on us because of the pandemic we can feel overwhelmed at having our busy schedules snatched away from us. Some people are still busy because they have children to homeschool or other adults to look after and are finding it difficult to get time to compehend what has happened to their 'normal' world. Others who cannot leave their homes are overwhelmed by loneliness. The following is a very simple exercise that can be done in a couple of minutes and bring us back into balance.
Bring your attention to your breath, breathing in and out through your nose, notice the cool air entering your body and the warm breath leaving your body. Now count your breath in to a count of 4 taking approximately 4 seconds and breath out to a count of 4 taking approximately 4 seconds. A nice slow breath in counting and a nice breath out counting. Try to do four rounds of the in and out breath counting four seconds on the in and the out breath.
It's good to breath (smile)
