What is a Reiki Treatment?
The word Reiki, literally translated means 'Universal Life Force'. A Reiki treatment combines the utilisation of this life force by a trained Reiki practitioner. It is popularly known as a hands-on healing technique, although is is not always essential for the therapist to physically touch the client. Reiki is a specific energy that helps our own healing systems to work to their full potential. It helps us to vitalise and balance. What Reiki is NOT Reiki is not tied into any particular religion or faith system. Reiki is not a cure all Reiki is not a cult or weird sect Reiki is not a replacement for medical treatment What conditions can Reiki help? Reiki treats the whole body and not just symptoms it can assist in the treatment of almost all conditions. It can help ease the pain of many chronic diseases. Reiki recognises that it is not our problems that need healing but our whole self. Reiki works by clearing away the blockages that prevent us from being whole. Not only humans but animals can also benefit from Reiki. What happens during a Reiki Session? During the Reiki session the practitioner places his or her hands very lightly on or just above the body in a variety of positions. The patient may be lying or sitting down and always remains fully clothed throughout the session as Reiki is so powerful that it will even reach the body through a plaster cast. Cost £60 per session, each session lasts approximately 1 hour. Please note I can only accept cash payments on the day of treatment. |
