This morning I opened my laptop to start working on my next book on mindfulness. I looked out of the window at the beautiful sunny day and thought to myself how nice it will be when we can go on the beach again. Then I laughed at myself. We slip out of mindfulness thinking when we think of the future, and as I write this I am looking back to half an hour ago however as I do so I am aware of my fingers on the keyboard, the sun coming through the windows, I hear the birdsong and smell the woodiness of my shed I feel the stillness of the world.
